-  Frame from the dollar store
-  Canvas tote bag
-  Vase from dollar store
-  A piece of card stock paper
-  Pillow cover:  http://amzn.to/2vGGZbb

A cutting machine - mine is a Cricut, you can find it at either of these locations:

Here is the video tutorial:

Watch the video to see how to make all of the items.  Following are the directions for the Seahorse Pillow.

Directions:

1.  Gather your iron on materials from Best Creation, you can do glitter iron on, foil iron on, or the iron on vinyl.

2.  I picked up a linen pillow cover, with a natural look.

3.  I created a seahorse in the Cricut Design Space and cut it out in paper, to be sure it was the right size.

4.  I then cut it out of the glitter iron on.

5.  I then put it on the pillow cover and covered it with a white sheet.

6.  I ironed, with my iron on high and no steam.

7.  After it has cooled, carefully pull off the plastic.

8.  Stuff an old pillow, or pillow blank into the pillow cover.

There it is!!!

I also did Sun, Surf, Sand Art!

A The beach is calling and I must go... beach bag!

And finally a Flamingo Vase!!!

Yes I used the iron ons on the vase!!!

Super Easy Shark Trivia Coasters for Shark Week! ~ Another Coaster Friday ~ Craft Klatch

I did a few projects for Shark Week and this was one of them. We are talking easy...I mean super easy...okay to do last minute...shark trivia coasters.  If you are as intrigued by sharks as I am, then you know there are a bunch of interesting facts to be found!  They are super fun conversation starters at a party too!

You will need:
Contact paper:  http://amzn.to/2gOXuhY
Glue:  http://amzn.to/2tLY5C9
Pictures of sharks

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:

1.  Cut out images of sharks.  Make sure you make them big enough to hold a glass.

2.  Print out fun trivia on each shark.  I used a big punch to create the circle, but you can just as easily cut them out.

3.  Use a glue stick to add glue to the back of the trivia and stick it to the back of the corresponding shark.

4.  Cut out two pieces contact paper, a little larger than the image you are going to cover.

5.  Place the image onto the contact paper.

6.  Sandwich it in with the second piece of contact paper.

7.  Trim off the excess.

Now you have these awesome shark coasters!!!

That's it!  Thanks for stopping by!  Remember:  Life's too short not to shimmer, so grab your glue gun and your glitter!™  Stay safe!!!

Emoji Poop Coaster DIY ~ Another Coaster Friday ~ Craft Klatch

So there is an Emoji Movie and in honor of it, I thought I would make an emoji poop coaster!

You will need:
Coaster mold:  http://amzn.to/2ufrokB
Clear resin:  http://amzn.to/2viUtbL
Transparency film:  http://amzn.to/2ufryIJ
Circle cutter:  http://amzn.to/2tkXruU
Optional:  white resin pigment:  http://amzn.to/2viWaGs
White curing resin:  http://amzn.to/2ufHdYB

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:

1.  I brushed a copper pigment powder in the mold to give it a brown tint.

2.  I mixed one ounce of resin, according to the package directions.  If you are doing clear resin, you can add a white pigment.  Or you can also use a resin that cures white.  Or you can pour a clear or colored background and let it cure, then paint it white before adding the next layer.

3.  I poured it into the mold, popped the bubbles and let it cure.

Cure time is dependent on which resin you use.

4.  While that was curing, I printed out the emoji poop on transparency film.

5.  Then, I cut it out with my circle cutter.

6.  Once the resin had cured, I mixed one ounce of clear resin.   Poured it into the mold, on top of the white resin.

7.  I popped the bubbles with my lighter.

8.  I gently slid my emoji poop into the resin and pressed it down with my stir stick.

Be sure to keep pressing until you have all the bubbles pressed out.

9.  I took my lighter and popped the bubbles.

10.  Allow it to cure for at least 12 hours before unmolding.

That's it!  Now you have a adorable Emoji Poop Coaster!!!

Remember:  Life's too short not to shimmer, so grab your glue gun and your glitter!™  Stay safe!

Back To School Projects & VersaChalk Giveaway!!! Craft Klatch

Back to school is in our sights, so it seems only fitting to DIY some great projects for your books, your locker, your desk, or your dorm room!  Today VersaChalk is helping me do just that!  Check out the projects and at the end I will tell you about the amazing GIVEAWAY they are offering!!!

In addition to the giveaway, the fine folks at VersaChalk are offering free white markers to the first 50 people at their website!!!  Use the code KLATCHFREE at checkout!

We are going to make some chalkboards and decorate our books using the VersaChalk products!

Items I used in the video:

Chalkboard contact paper
Classic markers
Neon markers
White markers
Chalkboard
- Magnetic sheets
- Dollar store frame
Cutting machine from manufacturer or
- Cutting machine on Amazon
- Stretchy book covers

Here is the video tutorial to see the projects

and what's in the GIVEAWAY!!!

Directions for the different projects:

BASIC BOOK COVER LABEL:

1.  Cover books in the stretchy fabric book covers.  When I was in school, it took us a whole evening of cutting paper
bags and taping them to cover our books!  How far we have come!!

2.  The chalkboard contact paper has a grid on the back to make it easy to cut straight lines and have a nice clean look.  It cuts great with regular scissors.  My decorative scissors were not sharp enough.  Size it whatever size you want.  It could be the size of the whole front of the book, if you wanted.

3.  Peel off the backing and stick it to the cover.  It sticks great to the fabric, but will peel off without damaging it.  Yay!

4.  Be sure to smooth it down, so there aren't any bubbles.  It's a nice clean look!

5.  Break out your chalk markers and you can write down your homework.  When you complete your homework, you can take a damp rag and clean it right off and it's ready for tomorrow's homework!

FANCY BOOK COVER LABEL:
If you want to get a little fancy and have a cutting machine, you can design your own!

1.  Design your label.  Cut our a piece of the chalkboard contact paper and stick it to your cutting mat.

2.  Run the mat and contact paper through the machine, on the vinyl setting.  Always exciting!

3.  Then peel off the backing and stick it to the book cover.

4.  With the cutting machine, I was able to cut out the word math and the math problem, 1+2=3.  The color of the book cover shows through the cut outs!

DOLLAR STORE CHALKBOARD

1.  Pick up an inexpensive frame from the dollar store.

2.  Take it apart.

3.  Cut a piece of contact paper a little larger than the glass piece.

4.  Remember you are working with the glass piece.

5.  Peel the backing off the contact paper.

6.  Smooth it onto the glass.

7.  Put it back together.

8.  Now you have a chalkboard!

That works beautifully with the markers!

MAGNETIC CHALKBOARD

1.  I used magnet sheets.

Mine had a white background, but you might find some with sticky backs.  Either will work fine.

2.  Using the contact paper, cut a piece that is a little larger than your magnet sheet.

3.  Stick it to the back of the magnet sheet.

4.  Trim off the excess.

5.  Then use it to keep notes or lists.  It can stick in your locker, or on a fridge!

Here's a closer look, after I did a little additional designing with the markers:
